thing to do in such a small scene.

As for the metal scene itself I'd say there's two parts to it; the scene for the fans and the scene for the bands. The scene for the fans is the best it's ever been. There are dozens and dozens of absolutely top class Irish metal bands for them to support and see live and also most of the big underground shows come to Dublin now too thanks to Dublin Metal Events promotions company; Mayhem, Dismember, Rotting Christ, Exodus, Necrophagist, Ephel Duath etc etc…the fans have got a really happening and active scene to be involved with.

Unfortunately, that means that it's a real struggle for the Irish bands…it certainly seems like half of all metal fans in Ireland are in bands themselves so the battle to be considered one of the best is a really difficult one. You have to get really good as quickly as possible because in such a small scene if you're shit then that will be remembered. We are leaving to move to London because we got up there in Ireland, became one of the most known Irish metal bands around at present and then realized we couldn't go any further in such a small country.

ADRENALIN:  What is your relationship with the other members of the band?

CHRIS: Well of course we're still going through a bit of a line-up change at the moment. We've just recruited Anto Pellier as our new drummer who I met through a friend in Dublin, he was here from France just for a couple of months so we met up, jammed, it all clicked together almost instantly and we discussed everything and he said he wanted to come to London with us…so hey presto! When you meet

sake of their art then you get stuck to them, don't let them go because that's what you need; a whole band full of single-minded musicians. Myself and Dave (bass) have known each other since we were about 16, we grew up in the same small town about 17 miles south of Dublin city and have played together in various bands and jamming groups for about 6 or 7 years now. So it's safe to say that we match really well in terms of composition, improvisation and understanding of musical direction. The next step now is to select a new lead guitarist, we've had plenty of interest but are being slow in deciding out of the applicants as it's a pretty delicate matter not only recruiting a lead guitarist but a joint composer of all future Era V recorded output!

ADRENALIN:  Do you have any plans to start playing shows in the U.S.A.?

CHRIS: I wouldn't call them plans just yet – just an unquenchable desire, haha! Yeah, I mean, we want to play everywhere, I'm in music for the thrill of live playing, that's where it's at. But being a very underground band still, and still signed to our own label, your battle strategy has to be very smart. It's like playing a game of Risk, we need to absolutely establish ourselves as strongly as possible in our local regions,
