we've been asked plenty of times if we ever thought about getting a keyboard player…because that's what people think of when they think prog – but, no. Keyboards in metal are quite literally a minefield. You have bands like Amorphis on the one hand who always seem to have integrated it well, but for every Amorphis there seems to be 100 Dream Theater's, Symphony X's who just make keyboards sound revolting. That said, it would be interesting to have a full time Hammond organ player and really go all out on the 70s classic rock vibe, haha!
