Lazarus w/Halem
January 19th, 2008 @ Vnuk's in Cudahy, WI

First of all, kudos to the bands for coming! It was below zero outside, but these bands beat the cold to come and play a show for little or no money to support the release of the Firewalk Girl Calander!!! Cheers for that!!
Haelm opened the show. Halem is a black metal band from Milwaukee. The first thing I always notice first is the sound. For Haelm, the sound was clear and uniform. The energy of the band was evident and they put alot of effort into putting on a good show. They had good song variation, and great tone.
Lazarus was the headliner for this show. This is a thrash metal band from Kenosha. The music reminded me of Testament. This band is completely into their music. They had great dynamics, great energy, and the show was very entertaining. The sound quality was clear and uniform.(they spent a good amount of time before the show making sure the sound was correct) They had a big banner displaying their name and merchandise to sell as well. The vocals were very Chuck-Billy like, but with an original appeal. The back-up vocals were also very well done. The guitar leads were fast paced and blended into the music very well.
Overall, it was a great nite of metal!
