Mike Gaspar (drums)
** Interview conducted by Mike of Adrenalin Fanzine - May 2006 **

collected and stuff fans have given to us.  We also want to put all our videos so people can have them all in one.  I hope it will still come out some day, we still have no official date but we were promised it would still come out this year, it would be a shame for so much good material to go to waste.

ADRENALIN: When it comes to interviews and band updates, Fernando appears to be the man mainly taking care of the duties. Do the other members share his opinions and generally agree with what he says?

MIKE: Fernando is for sure the master in control when it comes to what is released to the public.  H e is our Poet , the way he describes us and informs everyone about what is going on is in our best interest.  No one else could do what he does.  He sometimes takes words out of our souls, things that we never realized sometimes, and that is for sure his job, and we thank him for that.  When I read stuff I sometimes feel like a fan, but I know that all is true and correct, the emotions are all there and even more, finding surprises on the way and even learning more of ourselves through his thoughts.  That is the reason I am in the band, to follow his image of things, but still he follows the image of us, but puts it to paper in ways we could never do. But all major decisions are always talked between us, at a time we had reunions all the time, even more than rehearsals, so that we would understand what was going on. Nowadays we it's been more than 10 years, and we spend more time together than most families. You can be 100 % sure that what he says will always be what we want him to say!

ADRENALIN: On the internet, the site myspace.com is becoming more and more popular. Do you get a chance to check out comments and messages left on the Moonspell myspace.com site?

MIKE:  To tell you the truth me and my girl friend were responsible for getting in to that, she would be on there all the time and I found it pretty interesting to check out other bands and people that had the same likings.  At the moment I get 5 or more friend requests a day and loads of messages and it is an honor to have so much interest around me and the band that I feel obligated to get back to people, not that I have to, but that I love to be in contact with other people from the world, that’s the reason we started the band.  We would write letters and tape trade many years ago.  We were very part of the underground and it grew so much that we can’t even start to understand how that happened, but we do take advantage of what has come of it and pursue what we once started. It is so easy these days and fast to get back to people, I use to wait up to 2 weeks to get letters from bands, now it takes seconds. I find it even to bring some clarity to who are the people that listen to us and has inspired me to do better, knowing that they believe in us and we do make a difference.

ADRENALIN: I have found that myspace has allowed me to check out new songs of some of my favorite bands prior to their album's release. Do you think this will hinder the popularity of file sharing online a little bit since the new material from bands is easier to find? What are your thoughts on file sharing?
