The Ottoman Empire (now called Luna Mortis)

** Interview by Mike - April 2007 **

BRIAN: It is something we have to work at very consistently. We are always looking for venues that will put on metal shows, and we are constantly networking, booking, and trading shows with many bands in the area.

ADRENALIN: I see that right now The Ottoman Empire has 3 or 4 shows scheduled per month. Is that the average year-round? Any national tours planned?

BRIAN: We would like to see that number increase, but for now that is about average. We haven’t considered any national tours yet because we are focusing on some other things right this second. We would love to tour Europe for a week or two because we believe our music would be very well received over there.

ADRENALIN: Your site mentioned that you are managed by HM Management. Do they do all your promotional stuff for you? How did you get hooked up with them?

BRIAN: The primary function of our management is to get us signed to a record label. They can take our music and get it into the hands of people that we wouldn’t be able to contact ourselves. We were introduced to them through our friends in the band Epicurean. We then contacted HM and started working things out.

ADRENALIN: You have an “Ottoman Empire” myspace page and an “Ottoman Empire Street

Team” myspace page. What’s the difference between the two pages? Who runs them?

BRIAN: The Ottoman Empire myspace is run and maintained by us directly. The Street Team page was started by a couple of avid fans that want to help spread the word. Add them both to your friends right now!

ADRENALIN: At what point can a band consider themselves to be successful? Are you at that point or think you will eventually get there?

BRIAN: Success means different things to different people. We are aiming for the top in that we want to make records, tour and make a modest living from being in this band. So to answer your question, I think we have a good start.
