Dushan Petrossi (Iron Mask/Magic Kingdom)
** Interview conducted by Rob of Adrenalin Fanzine - April 2006 **

ADRENALIN: What are your opinions on the file sharing issue and what it's doing or not doing to the music industry? In some aspects of the metal scene I think it does help get the word out much like underground tape trading did back in the early '80s but this is obviously on a much bigger scale. Do you feel it has hurt or helped your cause up to this point in your career?

DUSHAN: It hurts a lot and not only in the music industry but movies too. In the 80's you got the tape recording but the quality of a tape wasn’t of cd quality. If you wanted a good sound you had to buy the LP or the cd. Now everybody can download everything with a top quality sound. That’s too bad and the problem is that we can't go on tour cuz we don't sell enough records because of that. It's killing smaller artists. I mean bands which don’t get a mega promo on TV and radio. On the other side internet is good for promo or discovering some bands, but it is very important to buy the albums. Don’t steal our hard work.

ADRENALIN: You always hear horror stories about the bands that haven’t been so lucky in the sometimes crooked world of the music industry. How have your experiences been dealing with the business side of things? Obviously it hasn’t hurt your performance up to this point.

DUSHAN: Yeah that’s sad but true. Too much shit totalk about. There are always some crook assholes

in the game but now I work with 2 good labels which I can trust.

ADRENALIN: How often do you tour and do you have any interesting stories you can share about life on the road?

DUSHAN: Depends on the sales figures. We love to tour. We toured with Anvil in November. We also played in Romania at the Monsters of Transylvania metal festival. It was great meeting our fans in the eastern countries. Life on the road can be very wild. You need to control your self and not drink too much. That’s the devil temptation-)

ADRENALIN: You mention on your website that both Iron Mask and Magic Kingdom will be recording their new albums ("Shadow of the Red Baron" and "Holy Pentalogy/Tournament in Hell" respectively) at the same time in the near future. Will these be done  in the same studio and with the same producer or
