** Interview conducted by Mike of Adrenalin Fanzine - October 2006 **

to say, if we can all make it across the country as a band, there is no reason why we can't do tours and get on a label.

ADRENALIN: Has Skin Casket had any label interest so far?

[Mitch] Yeah, from independent labels.

[Deano] ...But everytime we get on an indie we're always like "yeah, yeah, let's do this and this and this" and then the label drops the ball or runs out of money or does absolutely nothing (thanks, Bob).

ADRENALIN:  Is your first full-length album out now? How is this different than you your previous music?

[Mitch] We have two full-lengths out. They are both very different, but all of our songs have always had their own unique sound.

[Drew] We had a different drummer for our second full-length and that definitely changed the sound and feel of our music. But at the core, it was still Skin Casket.

[Deano] Our first full-length sounded horrible. We only sold 100 copies and discontinued it. Since then, we have released another full-length, but I've always been disappointed because the first album has some great shit on it. So we went back and re-recorded all the guitars, and I digitally triggered the drums, now it sounds great. I'm not sure when we're gonna release it, though. Being that we're in a huge transitional period right now.

ADRENALIN:  Here’s a question we have been asking a lot of bands lately. What is you opinion on file sharing and music files on the internet?

[Drew] I simply loathe hypocrites. While we are all somewhat hypocritical, I admit to illegally downloading songs / videos /

games so how could I possibly be mad at at anyone doing the same to our music. Yes it does effect smaller local bands funds, which they need in order to go on tour and produce more cds, but it also helps to get their music out to the masses. And seriously until the government can limit our freedom on the internet, all money grubbing dickwads are just gonna be fucked. Boo-Hoo..........

[Mitch] It's a double-edged sword. On one hand, your music is getting out to people who may have never heard you. But, the bad side is that a lot of these bands work their asses off. Heavy music hasn't ever been a huge moneymaker, and bands are trying like hell to make it their living, and they can't live if you're stealing from their pockets.

[Deano] Right now, file sharing is great for us. The more music we can get to more people, the better. At this point, I don't care if we're getting any money for it because we're infecting the public right now. I can understand where some bands get pissed that their "product" is being given away for free. I don't think we'll ever be as lame as, like, Metallica about it. It's like "good job, Lars, thanks to you, no one is downloading the new Metallica album." Consequently, no one is buying it, either.
